Sans Your Love
I am a driftwood now
Float in the vast ocean of time
I act but in the heart of sparking silence
Which resounds but to end up as a mime
I was never alone
Until you were with me
And dreaming big with your promises
That were as big as this endless sea
Never I stepped into silence
Since your love was ever garrulous
That accompanied me in my life
And fed me with feelings so generous
Never felt, never doubted also
That you were only an actor on the stage
With inordinate passion and zeal like me
Who drove me for life with his frenzied craze
You played your part
And tactfully left me to play my part
And carry my woes amid cloud and sun
But you forgot your words to stay unto the last
I'm left to cling to silence
Today and the days to come
And dream blank and grow thoughtless
And drift crazily sans your love and be dumb.
